To deal with the rush of passengers during the summer holidays and to facilitate movement of admission seekers at major educational institutions, the Northeast Frontier Railway will operate three special trains from Kamakhya station in the city to Pune, New Delhi and Bangalore Cantonment. NFR Public Relations Officer Nripen Bhattacharya said the trains will operate from end of this month till the third week of August.
The 02503/02504 Kamakhya-New Delhi Premium AC Special will leave from Kamakhya at 10 am on July 30, August 6, August 13 and August 20 and depart from New Delhi at 11:40 pm on July 31, August 7, August 14 and August 21. It will halt at New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Barauni, Varanasi and Lucknow.
The 02512/02511 Kamakhya-Pune Weekly Special will depart from Kamakhya at 10:45 am every Monday between July 28 and August 18 and depart from Pune at 10:45 pm every Thursday from July 31 to August 21. The train will have stoppages at New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Durgapur, Asansol, Rourkela, Bilaspur, Raipur, Nagpur, Wardha, Badnera Junction, Bhusawal, Manmad and Daund.
The 02510/02509 Kamakhya-Bangalore Cantonment Weekly Premium Special will depart from Kamakhya at 10:30 pm every Saturday between August 2 and August 23 and depart from Bangalore Cantonment at 10:45 am every Tuesday between August 5 and August 26. The train will have stoppages at New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Kharagpur, Visakhapattanam and Katpadi, said Bhattacharya.
