(i) Setting up of a traction alternator manufacturing factory for high horse power Diesel Locomotives at Vidisha.
(ii) Augmentation of production capacity from 200 to 250 high horse power locos per year including facilities for fabrication of crank case for high horse power diesel locomotives at Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi.
(iii) Setting up of a Forged wheel factory at Raebareli by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited.
(iv) Ministry of Railways has already planned to manufacture two rakes for Kolkata metro & EMU rakes for Mumbai area with indigenously developed IGBT based 3 – phase propulsion system under ‘Make in India’ scheme.
