Rajdhani, North East, Seemanchal Express to run via Patliputra Junction instead of Patna from August
From coming August, 2016 many trains running on Patna Junction (PNBE) - Barauni Junction (BJU) route and don't have any stoppage in between will now run via Patliputra Junction (PPTA). The decision has been taken by Eastern Central Railway (ECR), Danapur in view of the start of Digha - Hajipur Railway Bridge, and also to reduce the rush on Patna - Barauni rail route. The trains to run via Patliputra Juction with an stoppage instead of present Patna Junction are Dibrugarh - New Delhi Rajdhani Express 12423), New Delhi - Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express (12424), North East Express (Guwahati - Anand Vihar Terminal - 12505), North East Express (Anand Vihar Terminal - Guwahati - 12506), Purvottar Sampark Kranti Express (Guwahati - New Delhi, 12501 / 12502), Seemanchal Express (Jogbani - Anand Vihar Terminal 12487 / 12488), Lokmanya Tilak - Kamakhya AC Express (12519 / 12520) and Silchar - New Delhi Purvottar Sampark Kranti Express (15601 / 15602).
All these trains would arrive and depart from Patliputra Junction as per the timings of Patna Junction.
